9 unique breweries, with 9 unique beers

A brand new UFO (ultra fresh offering) has landed on earth. Razor-sharp teeth and tentacles aside, Zongklorg is an extremely approachable extra terrestrial.

Inspired by macro beers and made with quality ingredients, this Light Lager incorporates rice flakes in its malt bill for supreme crushability and receives a subtle dry hop for optimal aroma and flavour.

Looking for lightness that doesn’t skimp on flavour? Dry, refreshing, and bright: Zongklorg is it.

Pardner brings that traditional American C Hop bitterness and bolsters it with a healthy dose of Cryo Amarillo hops (see what we did there???) for that classic, grapefruit hop awesomeness. Pouring a deep, rich brown, with a Texas sized dense mocha head, which lingers for days. Along with the healthy amount of hops you’ll get those rich malt (toffee and dark caramel) flavours you expect in an American Brown IPA.

ST. JACOBS, ON – Block Three Brewing has announced the release of a new collaboration with craft beer and sandwich shop Bevi Birra.

Signor Vespa Italian Pilsner (5% abv) features “clean light crisp malt with a light earthy floral note from the dry hop with Saphir and Saaz hops.”

5% ABV / 473mL

Try it on tap today at Bevi Birra!

On the west bank of the Vltava lies the Prague neighbourhood of Smichov. Baroque, Neo-Renaissance, and Art Nouveau architectural styles mingle amongst a post-industrial background which is sprinkled with cafes, bars, and restaurants. Our Czech Dark Lager takes its name from this district that lies away from the tourist centre.

Built using Raven Floor Malted Pilsen with just enough roasted malts to impart colour and notes of dates, chocolate, and mocha presented in the clean and crisp profile you expect from a lager.

Good as Gold has us playing with more NZ hops! We swapped the Riwaka for a brand new hop called Nectaron, and we can't wait for you to taste the results. The aroma is dank, resinous and grassy, with juicy pineapple and papaya. On the sip, you'll pick up flavours of pear, lemon thyme, grapefruit, pithy citrus and pomelo. A sweet, creamy, full-body with pleasant, lingering bitterness.

6% ABV / 473mL

Pale ale brewed with whole-cone Cascade hops.

Amber in colour

Profile: Grapefruit flesh, pineapple sage, spring flowers.

Brewed at Hamilton’s, Fairweather Brewing.

This month features 2 other Hamilton breweries, Grain n Grit & Merit Brewing!

Glorioso Italian Pilsner – inspired by Weyermann® Eraclea Pilsner Malt, a terroir malt produced from premium Eraclea barley grown near the Adriatic Sea northeast of Venice. This dry, crisp, Italian pilsner is generously dry hopped with Hallertau Mittelfruh and Styrian Bobek to impart elegant, floral, earthy, sweet spice and citrus aroma and flavour.

Tomorrows is one of ten original recipes first designed for MERIT’s opening in 2017. A robust tripel brewed for tea lovers and fans of Belgian beer flavours. Tomorrows shows off flavours of custard and London Fog with a smooth, drying mouthfeel. The perceived sweetness from the tea creates a swirl of rich yet simple flavours - perfect for a long weekend or anytime! Enjoy sipping on this well-balanced, creamy classic.

Whiff is a hoppy pale ale brewed with a good amount of wheat and hopped with Strata, Citra and Mosaic. Big hop aromas of mango, and fresh berry followed up by notes of sticky citrus hop flavour. This beer has a firm bitterness and a full body, making it a hoppy, yet sessionable pale ale.

Brewed in collaboration with All My Friends Beer Co. from Prince Edward County

This is a special partnership for us and really was a long time comin' as we eagerly awaited the opening of our friends' brewery out in PEC. There's more than one connection that made this joining of forces possible, stretching back over a decade and we're super happy to now be their first collab partners!

The beer we made together tastes like how friendship feels. You take classic Mosaic blueberry vibes...tie that together with the strawberry candy flavours from Strata and what do you have? Friendship."

Town x All My Friends (Whitby)

This delightful Milkshake IPA is infused with real roasted coconut and essence of lime, while Galaxy hops and lactose create a citrusy, smooth mouthfeel. We know you’re going to enjoy this one! It’s tropical, juicy and very aromatic with a 50 IBU and a 5.5% ABV.

GL Heritage (Amherstburg)

Our new 6.4% West Coast/hybrid IPA takes the best features of both coasts and mixes it into 1 delicious recipe.

The thick mouthfeel, hazy body and citrus you love are present but mixed with a less chalky water profile, drier finish from a lower mash temperature, crisp caramel grain note, robust bitterness and pithy pine aroma and flavour.

This is also the most intensely dry hopped single IPA we've ever made, featuring absurd amounts of Simcoe and Citra hop varietals. We're very proud of this one!

Wildcard (Trenton)

A pale session beer, dry-hopped with Citra like it ain't nothin'. Great for doing work on the weekends. Profile: Lime, chronic, peach fuzz. 4.1%

Fairweather (Hamilton)

When you have some of the world's best sour cherries only a few farms over, what do you do?

In our case, you collaborate with Manitree Fruit Farm and Dalhaven Orchards with 800 LBS (300 more pounds of cherries than last year!) and make a sour beer to show off those beautiful cherry bombs of fruity tartness.

Next, we added milk sugar for a sweet creamy balance and some rich vanilla to make them more like your favourite cherry milkshake, pie or cheesecake.

That local cherry taste - now in your glass!

Red Barn (Blenheim)

With a deep red colour true to its name, this ale is very mild and easy drinking, complemented by a subtle fruity character from the English yeast.

Walkerville (Windsor)

Get Tropical! This fruit ale made with fresh mangoes is a perfect beer for any season. Big punchy notes of mango and a silky smooth mouth feel. It will make you feel like you’re relaxing on a beach!

Craft Heads (Windsor)

Brewed with Kevin Joanisse from Ottawa's LULO Coffee, this stout features a cold brew extraction of his signature El Pedregal Semi-washed Caturra. This coffee is sourced from farmer Ervin Liz and his family, who produce outstanding coffees on their single hectare farm in the Togoima Indigenous reservation in Tierradentro, Cauca, Colombia.

With this beer, we aimed to do something a little different. We wanted to create a coffee stout that emphasized the coffee, its origin and which effortlessly integrated with the beer. With that, we brewed a stout that finds itself on the lighter end of the spectrum, allowing the beautiful coffee character to shine. Landscape as Language features familiar notes of chocolate, caramel and dried fruit you would expect from a stout, which works perfectly with the light acidity and spicy notes derived from the coffee.

Dominion City (Ottawa)

LoFi is our new Lower Calorie, Lower Carb, and Lower Gluten light lager!

At 3.7% alc./vol. it's incredibly refreshing and smooth.
Brewed with rice and malted barley, along with a special gluten reducing enzyme that significantly lowers the amount of gluten in the finished beer.

Although the beer is gluten reduced, we do not recommend this product to anyone with severe gluten allergies or sensitivities as it was made with ingredients that contain gluten.

Sons of Kent (Chatham)

August 2022

9 unique breweries and 9 unique beers - 3903ml

August was built on our house DIPA malt base and then dry hopped with an unusually delightful blend of Motueka, Sabro and HBC 638. Not a combo of hops you’ll see used together every day but one that brings intense tropical fruit to the fore with layers of lime and citrus intertwined with coconut and tangerine.

Badlands Brewing (Cheltenham)

Brewed in the classic tradition of the Weissbier style, this is an unfiltered ale. The brewer’s yeast is left in suspension, making the beer slightly cloudy. A golden-yellow colour with a white pillowy head. Flavours of banana and clove. Light to medium-bodied on the palate with a fruitful revitalizing finish.

Silversmith (Virgil)

We do know that white crayons aren't actually useless, but on white paper, it sure seems like it. But what's a white IPA? It's like a mashup of a Belgian Wit and an American IPA. The malt bill has loads of Flaked Wheat and Oats to make it soft and cloudy.

Dry hopped with Amarillo and Mandarina Bavaria, citrus notes abound, aided by additions of Indian Coriander Seeds and Dried Orange Peel.

Market Brewing (Newmarket)

Perfect for those hot summer days. A golden sour brewed with whole hibiscus flowers, fresh mint & lemon zest. We get notes of cherry, black tea, and mint. Coming in at 3.8%, it’s 100% refreshing!

Fairweather (Hamilton)

A pale ale that only Third Moon could make. Made with oats and hopped with Citra, Mosaic, and Cashmere. Walks the line between easy drinking and generously hoppy.

Third Moon (Milton)

Birdie Juice IPA is not your average golf beer. A smooth, juicy and hugely flavourful, yet
extremely sessionable IPA is something that changes the game on the course. The
perfect companion if you get a birdie or need a birdie.

Farm League (Cambridge)

When the sun goes down, we crave dark beers. Rich, silky, and precise. The vigour and body of a classic robust porter, but the spirit of something older and wiser.

Avling (Toronto)

A balanced, refreshing, rustic pilsner with subtle complexity, St. Cloud Commons was cold fermented with German lager yeast and lagered in our oak Foeders. Pale gold and a little hazy, Saaz hops were added to the boil resulting in earthy, hay and bright lemon character, a delicate bitterness and a dry oak finish.

Left Field (Toronto)

Kin Kin Red Hoppy Amber Lager (5.5% abv) is the darker, more west-coast companion beer to our original Kin Kin Hoppy American Lager. Dry-hopped with an abundance of Chinook, Cascade, and Mosaic hops, Kin Kin Red features tantalizing notes of pine, grapefruit, muddled blueberries and orange rind. A bitter malt backbone adds a welcome level of balance, while its natural carbonation and extended lagering time helped fashion a clean finish. The desire to brew Kin Kin Red stemmed from memories of the progenitors of the craft beer movement when beers like Boston Lager, Brooklyn Lager, and other amber lager beers excited the palates of many. Obviously, given our penchant for Big C hop flavour and bitterness, we gave this lager a deliciously old school west-coast bend.

Il Gatto Ubriaco (meaning the Drunk Cat), is a cold IPA. An IPA brewed with lager yeast and dry-hopped with Nelson Sauvin. It pours a hazy yellow with tons of lycee and white grape. Plus, this is a collaboration with Us! Hope you like it :D

Barncat (Cambridge)

‘Aka Dad beer.’ A well-balanced amber ale made for hot days in the backyard. Caramel malts really shine in this beer.

Kensington (Toronto)

Chelt Lager is brewed with heirloom 2-row barley and hopped liberally with Saphir and Saaz. It’s a malt-forward lager that is soft and crispy, while also having a notable hop presence. It is sensationally drinkable at 4% and absolutely delicious.

Badlands Brewing (Cheltenham)

Our Pineapple and Mango Fruit Salad Series beer is back! Brewed with a huge amount of pineapple and mango purée, the fruit and base blonde beer both harmonize together, finishing very crisp.

Wave Maker (Cambridge)

A light and easy-drinking pale ale, with notes of citrus and tropical fruit, perfect for the summer!

Block 3 (St. Jacobs)

The floral and peppery esters produced from the Belgium yeast draw you in but quickly float away leaving you with an effervescent, delicious, and refreshing sip. This brew has a bright yellow haze, tons of head retention, and robust lacing in the glass. Orange zest, coriander, and chamomile botanicals have been added to balance out the Citra and Hallertau Blanc hops. Light, crispy, satiating, and ready to join you poolside or at the beach!

Redline (Barrie)

Brewed with coriander, dried and fresh orange and lemon zest. A full-bodied, refreshing spin on the Belgian Witbeer style. Aromas of sweet orange, coriander, under-ripe bananas. Cereal grains and citrus on the sip with a light clove and coriander spice, and a clean refreshing finish.

Grain & Grit (Hamilton)

Sometimes you just want an easy-drinking, simple, blonde ale. Two rivers delivers!

Royal City (Guelph)

Is it a porter? Is it a stout? Is it a dark lager? Who cares! It's roasty, toasty malt notes and smooth, luxurious body will satisfy your dark beer desires.

Called June 2022 - This DIPA is dry-hopped with Motueka, HBC 638, and Cashmere. Has a medley of lime, grapefruit, and passionfruit.

Badlands Brewing (Cheltenham)

We’re not judging, beers in the shower just hit different. This is a Kolsch - a lagered ale. Expect an easy drinking, refreshing experience with a subtle, balanced flavour.

Market Brewing (Newmarket)

Prison of My Own Design is hopped with Citra and Galaxy for huge notes of peach, melon, and apricot. This beer is a tribute to the difficult times of running a small brewery.

Rouge River (Markham)

A 100% Canadian lager made with equal parts barley, wheat, and rye. Has subtle notes of honey, herbs, and a sweet graininess.

Elora Brewing (Elora)

Brewed exclusively with Sabro hops. This beer is a great highlight of this potent hop varietal. Tons of coconut, pineapple, and tropical fruit flavours.

Fairweather (Hamilton)

Made with hop cones grown on their farm, this ESB pours a great copper colour and is assertively hopped. Carbonated with Nitrogen, make sure to shake this can vigorously!

Goodlot Brewing (Alton)

Carillon is made with raw wildflower honey from Rosewood in Beamsville, and pineapple sage from Avling’s rooftop garden! It has a great texture and a refined tropical, savoury flavour.

Avling (Toronto)

A classic NEIPA from Anderson. A smooth creamy body, with upfront grapefruit, citrus and tropical fruit notes. Followed by a light maltiness and an easy finish.

Anderson (London)

Half Truth is the lighter version of Rorschach’s flagship IPA Truth Serum. We’d recommend giving them a try side by side!

Crisp, light, refreshing and dry.  A nice full flavoured beer that has all of the characteristics you'd expect from a lager; slightly bread-y, featuring light crackery malts, but with a new world twist. Featuring usual IPA darling hops, Nelson Sauvin. Nelson adds some super fun flavours of lemon, goosebery (think a suuuper light sauvignon blanc), with some peachy goodness and some minimal herbal bitterness.

Queen Bee is a sour ale, brewed with honey, lavender-infused hops and chamomile, and fermented with Voss Kveik yeast. This beer is really something special — it’s floral, tart and has flavours of cranberry, sour cherry and chamomile, with a dry finish. It’s a sour that’s meant for winter sippin’. Brewed with honey from Humble Bee, an urban bee farm based in Hamilton.

What we came up with was an idea for a fruited IPA that exists on the subtler side of the fruit beer spectrum. IPA already throws tons of fruited notes, so we just wanted to use a fruit (in this case Apricot) to enhance the fruit notes that are already present by using about half the rate you would expect from your typical dry hopped fruited kettle sour thing... don't worry, there is still several hundred pounds of Apricot puree in there and we still hopped it to our usual 7lbs/bbl.

We taste notes of jammy apricot, tangerine, peach and hints of tropical pineapple.
