Why YETI Means “I Love You” in Beer-Speak

A few years ago, if somebody mentioned seeing a yeti at a campsite or in a car trunk, you’d wonder what strain of cannabis they had inhaled. Maybe the 3C Sasquatch Sap? The yeti used to be known as the abominable snowman. Nowadays, the hairy Himalayan’s rep has been usurped by the coolest cooler around, YETI. For the completely unacquainted, YETI means “I love you” in beer-speak.

Short of buying your loved one a brewery of their own, YETI products are the next best thing. They are a legacy gift. In 500 years, archaeologists will find three things in our rubble: Twinkies, Madame Tussaud’s wax doppelgängers and YETIs. The company’s products are weatherproof, leak-proof, foolproof and indestructible!

This is why anything YETI is easy to fall in love with:

  1. The money you save on NOT buying endless bags of replacement ice can be spent on more beer.

  2. A YETI is territorial. Gifting one is the equivalent of an engagement ring. It sends a direct message. You’re not messing around, you’re in it for the long haul!

  3. If you find yourself chronically begging your bae into helping you unload the SUV after a road trip, the YETI guarantees a free ride. It’s the kind of eye candy that everyone wants on their arm. Soon you’ll hear the equivalent of “SHOTGUN!” being called out, just to ensure dibs on the coveted YETI.

Founded in 2006 by Texas bros Roy and Ryan Seiders, the YETI brand has morphed into a devout nation comprised of distinguished drinkers, die-hard fisherman (like the Seiders), tailgaters, tiny house dwellers and campers (no more wieners floating in water within a few hours!). YETI has made happy hour even happier with the likes of the Rambler 473ml Stackable Pint. The DuraCoat™ won’t peel or crack under pressure, whether you’re planning a romantic night fireside or in the hot tub. The Rambler Colster is just as sleek with it’s No Sweat™ Design and Load-and-Lock™ Gasket for 355 ml cans or bottles of Small Batch’s latest offerings.

Yes, there’s a big, fancy price tag attached, but, the Hopper M30 soft cooler can hold a superior amount of ice: 28 pounds! Or, 20 cans of glacier cold beer (with a 2:1 ratio ice to can).

Is it Puppy Love?

YETI is ensuring that everyone stays hydrated in the most stylish way. If the beer lover in your life is a dog lover too, it’s a win-win. Don’t tell the cat! Although, non-discriminating cats may overlook the target marketing and happily saddle up to the non-slip Boomer 8 Dog Bowl. It holds 8 cups of water or organic kibble and is dishwasher-friendly. It could be the cat’s meow too!

If the pup is tired and the party’s just getting started, your furry BFF will appreciate YETI’s Trailhead Dog Bed. Thoughtfully designed, the bed has a ‘home base’ and removable ‘travel pad’ for sleepovers. Wink-wink.

Whatever YETI swag you choose from the tempting collection of tumblers and tanks (the YETI Tank 85 holds 102 cans of beer for your thirstiest gang.) Share your pics with us @smallbatchdispatch (Instagram and Facebook).
